Elegant Italian Countryside Inspired Editorial Featured on Wedding Chicks

Situated on the grounds of the historic Alger Estate and Located on the shores of Lake Saint Clair, Michigan, The Grosse Pointe War Memorial is a legacy-filled institution. The spacious Italian Renaissance-style home was built in 1910 for Russell A. Alger, Jr. and his family and designed by architect Charles A. Platt of New York. The stately house and gardens were designed together, creating an exceptional event space.Buttery pastel florals mixed with the incredible Mila Nova gown blend timelessness once known as the Morings House.The collaboration with Fleur Detroit Events and the inspiration for this styled bridal editorial is a romantic yet refined shoot that harkens to the grandness of the Italian Countryside. We wanted to take it further with a dress and location change to create a stylish, chic getaway.The champagne palate of apricot roses, pale mauves, and greens play well against the french doors and stucco walls and encircle the couple with their enchanted garden and nod the past. Fin de Siecle Grassin and Arras style Iron Table and Chairs created the perfect intimate setting and scape for a bride seeking a quiet yet detailed affair. The classic yet straightforward cake adorned with gentle florals perched upon a gold stand accents the shoot perfectly.The handmade invitation suite and place setting cards achieved an artisanal setting, while the delicate penmanship of the calligraphy maintained an air of elegance.The second home was a horse stable converted to a family residence and is as beautiful as a grand estate. The gorgeous red MG convertible is sporty and added the editorial punch to close out the day.
