Our 1920’s Costal inspired Craftsman

One of my passions is interior home design. My husband and I are both full-time creative professionals, and while we have each renovated homes before, this house—a 99-year-old Craftsman bungalow—marks the first project we have tackled together as a married couple. It was this home that helped us discover our shared passion for restoring and designing spaces. We draw a lot of inspiration from our talented friends and neighbors, each of whom has their own unique projects. Meeting new friends who invite us into their homes often sparks ideas for changes and new possibilities. We were captivated by the house’s historic charm—it was built in 1921—and its living history. When we began our extensive renovation six years ago, we were determined to preserve the “signs of life” that tell its story. Today, the coastal-inspired Craftsman home features a reimagined interior layout, an enclosed porch, and a beautifully refined landscape.en gets us thinking about changing things and trying something new.
